Painting Description

View the development of this painting

Inspired by the film 'CAPTURED' with Clayton Paterson that I watched with Charlie Oliver on the rooftop above New Design High School, in the Lower East Side.

This painting discusses the rise and fall of unique neigborhoods that I've seen throughout the world. The disappearing faces of the urban landscape due to Urban Development is both 'heaven sent' and devastating. Some neighborboods need change and others are best left alone.
